Welcome to the website of the statistical consulting team (fu:stat) at Freie Universität Berlin. The aim of fu:stat is to provide advice and helping students, employees, scientific institutes and companies regarding statistical questions.
Since its foundation in October 2008, the statistical consulting team has consulted many students, academic researchers and companies. The range of projects varies from short consultations to give guidance in statistical questions, to the supervision of empirical work (e.g. Bachelor-/Master-/Doctoral thesis), up to the realization of complex projects for companies. Please inform yourself about our consulting services!
In addition to the variety of consulting services we offer, fu:stat also provides several statistical courses. The curriculum of those courses is based on the experiences from our statistical consultations. The modular based courses give you the opportunity to gain the statistical knowledge you need to realize your empirical projects!
Furthermore the platform fu:stat thesis is currently being built-up to support doctoral students at the Freie Universität Berlin at the beginning of the empirical part of their doctoral thesis. The focus of this wiki is to answer questions in the initial phase of the empirical work, to give an overview of the most important statistical evaluation methods and to introduce different statistical packages.
